Some of my favorite books (or should that be 'authors'?)

It's always a difficult question to answer when someone asks me wha tmy favourite books are. So I usually avoid the question to some extent by responding with an (incomplete!) list of my favourite authors. In no particular order, I really like Arthur C Clarke, Isaac Asimov, George R R Martin, Steven Erikson, Samuel R Delaney, Charles Dickens, H. P Lovecraft, H Rider Haggard, Thomas Hardy, James Rollins, Lee Child and Peter F Hamilton.

But if you ask me tomorrow the list would probalby be different!
